I’ve just completed the first year of my PhD, where I’m doing a project researching mammal soundscapes in the UK. Essentially, I’m exploring how noise created by humans affects the behaviour of animals (mammals specifically). I wanted to let you know a bit about it, as well as challenge myself to summarise why my research actually matters to other people, beyond just being an interesting topic to me.
