School of Geosciences announces arrival of leading edge software package to assist staff and student research.

The School of Geosciences is pleased to announce that ION Geophysical Corp. have provided the University of Aberdeen with software licences for staff and students to access their MESA suite of programs.

This donation will principally allow MSc Geophysics students to enhance their training in seismic reflection acquisition design and could also be integrated into ongoing research projects in the School.

It will allow hands-on training in very important aspects of the curriculum, in which the students will benefit greatly.”
