Aya El Samad, a PhD student at the Department of Geography and Environment, has achieved remarkable recognition by securing an award at the Q Methodology Conference held in Belfast, UK. QUADRAT DTP student, Aya El Samad, studies public perception and social acceptance of carbon capture and storage.
Aya was presented with the Student Honorarium Award in recognition of her presentation at the 39th Annual Conference of The International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity. Her presentation centred on the application of Q methodology to map the level of public understanding and social acceptance of Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS) technologies in both the UK and Australia.
