Aberdeen University’s Arctic researchers visit local school

Researchers from Aberdeen’s geography department discussed their experience of Arctic research with students from a local school.

Will Harcourt and Brice Rea from the Department of Geography shared their experiences of conducting Arctic fieldwork to students of Bucksburn Academy in Aberdeen. These students will be undertaking an expedition to East Greenland as part of the Polar Academy and are busy preparing for their adventure. Will & Brice hoped to provide advice to the students and top tips for how to stay safe (and sane!) during their trip. Both were warmly welcomed and had an exciting discussion with the students.
