Innovative research in Chingaza National Natural Park revolutionizes the study of hummingbirds in high mountains

“Since mid-2021, Cristina Rueda Uribe, in collaboration with the technical team of the Chingaza National Park, has implemented an ambitious research proposal with the aim of understanding the spatial and seasonal patterns of hummingbirds in the high Andean forest and páramo ecosystems. This study, which is part of her doctoral work, also seeks to identify the plants and vegetation preferred by these birds, as well as other relevant ecological aspects.”
